A message from The Centre for Health and Wellbeing

With the outbreak of the Coronavirus and following government recommendations about reducing the spread of infections the Centre is closed for the foreseeable future.

Nigel and Eilish are currently working from their homes and under the guidance and support of the Victim’s and Survivors Service.

A team of complementary therapists are currently operating a 'Listening Ear’ service.

The therapists are telephoning clients enquiring about their wellbeing and offering advice on for example managing anxiety, stress and loneliness. Where they speak to someone in need of practical assistance this information is fed back to Nigel who is then feeding into community-based initiatives offering volunteering etc.

With the whole community sticking together and supporting each other emotionally and physically through this difficult time we will defeat this virus.

Positively Promoting Mental Health

The Centre for Health and Wellbeing was established in 2009 to promote positive mental health within the Whiterock area of Belfast.

The Centre evolved from the long established Ballymurphy’s Women’s Centre which was founded in 1996 as a direct result of the lack of statutory services in the area.

Which Therapy is right for you?

Often, clients arrive assuming the only Therapy for them is massage. However, we offer many different Therapies to target specific ailments and to best meet the highly individualised needs of clients.

These include Reflexology, Reiki, Indian head massage, Hopi ear candles, Acupuncture, and specialist treatments such as Ayurvedic Massage and Sports Massage.
