Positively Promoting Mental Health
With the outbreak of the Coronavirus and following government recommendations about reducing the spread of infections the Centre is closed for the foreseeable future.
Nigel and Eilish are currently working from their homes and under the guidance and support of the Victim’s and Survivors Service.
A team of complementary therapists are currently operating a 'Listening Ear’ service.
The therapists are telephoning clients enquiring about their wellbeing and offering advice on for example managing anxiety, stress and loneliness. Where they speak to someone in need of practical assistance this information is fed back to Nigel who is then feeding into community-based initiatives offering volunteering etc.
With the whole community sticking together and supporting each other emotionally and physically through this difficult time we will defeat this virus.
